Doll from Mayanmar dressed in Shan ethnic costume

This doll was purchased last month in a place called Inle Lake in Mayanmar. The maker of the doll, retired school mistress and now tayloress, Mya Mya Win is pictured at her shop in the photograph below.As she is not receiving any pension she started a shop where she taylor clothes. There are some good fabric left overs for her to make a doll clothes.

This doll was dresed in the costume of the Shan ethnic group. The doll is obtained by the Mary O'Neill Doll Museum. Doll height 20 cm.
