Nancy Merrylees made a pram for her doll out of Weet-Bix boxes in 1940s
In June this year Mary O'Neill had a chat with Nancy Merrylees at the Happy Craft 4 You shop in Hastings. Mrs. Merrylees talked about the pram, she and her sister made for their doll in the early 1940s.
"We use to use Weet-Bix box, they were different shape than they are now. We measured and cut it down. Than we use it as a pram. We cut a piece of material and use it as a blanket. We did not put the wheels but string pull them along. I was playing with my sister and we use to have a lot of fun together. Those were the most happiest memories of my childhood", Nancy Merrylees explained.
